About FreskiFarm
A Portuguese agricultural company combining farm production, fresh produce supply, agricultural services, farm consultancy and our own Farm Market.
FreskiFarm was started in the early 2020s by a group of partners who wanted to grow fresh produce in Portugal, close to the people who buy it. On our farm in Parnelhas, Leiria, we grow chillies, fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables, and we raise goats.
We supply shops, supermarkets and wholesalers in Portugal and buyers in other EU countries. We also run our own shop, Freski Farm Market in Odivelas, and offer agricultural services to other farmers.

Our Farm
Our farm, greenhouse, fields and machinery.
Our farm in Parnelhas, Leiria, covers more than 20 hectares of open fields and greenhouses. The greenhouses let us start crops earlier and protect them from the weather; the open fields grow our seasonal crops. We also keep goats on the farm.
We raise our own seedlings in our nursery, so every crop starts on the farm. With our own tractors, sprayers and irrigation equipment we do each job at the right time, and we bring the same machinery and experience to the agricultural services we offer other farmers.

How we produce, from the field to the products we supply.
Our crops start as seedlings from our own nursery and are planted in our greenhouses or fields. They are picked by hand, then sorted and packed on the farm on the day of harvest, and kept in our cold store until they leave.
Orders go out in our own vans or with a transport company, and buyers can also collect from the farm.

Sustainable farming, water management and traceability.

Sustainable farming
We rotate our crops and feed the soil with compost and manure. Chemicals are used only when really needed, and we grow in season, here in Portugal, close to our customers.

Water management
We water with drip irrigation, which brings water straight to the roots so little is wasted, and with sprinklers where they suit the crop. Our water comes from our own well.

Traceability
Everything we supply is grown, harvested and packed by FreskiFarm, with no middlemen. Every box is labelled with a trace code, its harvest, packing and despatch dates, and the product, variety and weight, so any box can be traced back to its harvest.
